Corporal punishment has been banned in South African schools since the mid-1990s, but the signing of the Bela Bill by President Ramaphosa further entrenches that the practice is abolished in SA. There are some people who still call for the return of the practice, which they believe will improve discipline in schools. What do you think? Africa Melane shares his view.
